When I became pregnant with my second child and it was a boy, I was excited. I always felt that I would make a better mom to boys. Sharing a bathroom with another female was not inviting to me. LOL.

Christian came into the world 8 weeks early roaring to go. It was like he was done being secure and safe in my belly and wanted to see the world. My husband and I always said he knew he had a job to do. That job being able to take care of his older brother, who was special needs.

It felt like Christian was never a baby. What I mean by that is, he was so easy and happy all the time. I guess in the back of my mind I was waiting for the bottom to fall out. My older son had a lot of issues and I thought every child would be like that.

I never thought I would get to this place in my life. In my mind, I am still a 30-something girl who is wild and free. Not a care in the world and just enjoying all that life has to offer!

Growing up, I remember my mom going through this. Back then, ( in the dark ages), the utter of this word meant a stern and mean look from a woman who meant business. That word was the dreaded “M” word. Yes, I am going to say it - MENOPAUSE!

s there really a perfect child? Is there one that never has to deal with failure? Well, I say "Who cares!"

Casey is my oldest son and is now 22 years old. When he was little, all I did was compare him to my friend's kids. Well, that was the biggest mistake I could ever do.

Casey is a special needs child and would never do what my friend's kids did or it would take him a hell of a lot longer to do them. He still can't ride a bicycle, but he can make us laugh.

So, the kids are off to school and it is "the cleaning out of the closet" time for all Moms. Yikes!

I realize after every summer, I start looking in my closet to see what I have for the Fall and I want to throw up. Cause I definately know that NOTHING is gonna fit me. I have consumed alcohol and alot of junk food sitting on the beach. LOL.

The only good thing this Fall is some of the trends. These trends can sooo look good on every woman and are comfortable. That is magic to us when we can feel and look good.

As we age, certain fashion styles no longer match our body. Most of the time, we can not squeeze ourselves into that cute, sexy outfit we wore in our 20’s & 30’s. Does not mean that we do not want to look sexy. Just because our bodies have changed, does not mean our minds have.

This summer has been a monumental one for me. It has come full force and totally whipped me into shape. Looking in the mirror and realizing how much time has passed and where the hell I am in life. I am scared, exhilarated, anxious, nervous, excited, terrified, happy - should I keep going?

You are probably thinking there is something wrong with me. Well, there is NOT! This is what young moms who are struggling dream about - the time when you are kid-free and can find yourself again. The time where the house is so still and quiet and you are only making a meal for 2 people. Yikes!!

But, I always hoped that my face would stay the same. I hear laughter across the world from every woman. I was hoping and praying that my face would be the face of my 20-something self.

Well, Mother Nature just had a good hearty laugh. That is sadly not true. Our faces will change and the wrinkles on our faces will show what our life was and is. Our face shows the world the roadmap of our lives. Unless you have visited a specific type of doctor and he injected “the botox”.
